Goodbye Wheat

The other day my mum was telling me how her friend had stopped eating wheat and how she was looking so much better and really healthy. Both my mum and I have decided to try this because, cutting out wheat does actually have benefits for your health.
:
Allergy relief
Digestive help
Prevention of weight gain
Brain health
Blood health

And honestly it isn't that hard. Yes if you adore bread and pasta it may be hard, but you get used to it. Personally I was most worried about pizza, but, you can get gluten free bases so phew.

What you can eat:
Beans, seeds, nuts in their natural, unprocessed form
Fresh eggs
Fresh meats, fish and poultry (not breaded, batter-coated)
Fruits and vegetables
Most dairy products
Some dark chocolate
Gluten free cakes/slices (not too often)
Corn
Flax
Gluten free flowers (rice, soy, almond)
Quinoa
Rice
Soy

What to avoid UNLESS labeled with 'gluten free':
Barley
Rye
Wheat (obviously)
Non gluten free flour
Beer
Breads
Cakes and pies
Candies
Cereals
Cookies
Crackers
French fries
gravies
pasta
Processed meats
Salad dressings
Sauces, including soy sauce
Seasoned snack foods (potato chips)

I am definitely going to try this because no wheat can also improve your skin if you have acne so I'm willing to give it a shot and you generally feel a lot better when you're eating healthier.
